Java Runtime Fix Instructions

Currently Java Runtime JRE 1.6 serves up virtual slide images very slowly. If your Windows computer has been updated to Java 1.6, you will need to downgrade to 1.5.

1. Remove Java 1.6 from your computer:
   1. Open the Control Panel (Start Menu / Control Panel).
   2. Open Add or Remove Programs.
   3. In the list of programs look for Java 1.6 and remove it (via the Remove button).
2. Download Java 1.5
3. Double-click on the installation file for Java 1.5 that you downloaded and follow the directions for installation.
